NAMAQUALAND FLOWER
5 DAYS / 4 NIGHTS

DAY 1. UPINGTON – SPRINGBOK (390 km)

We depart from Guest House at 8:30 via Keimoes, Kakamas to Springbok through the Bushmanland. We stop at Tierberg to enjoy the view over the Orange River and then at the old water wheel. Depart to Kakamas, and visit the Pienk Padstal for dried fruit and interesting remembrances.

Accommodation: Lodge / Guest House or Camping
Meals: Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 2. SPRINGBOK
After breakfast, we depart driving around Springbok to Okiep, Concordia, and Nababiep for the flowers.

Then we depart to Goegab National Reserve and Hester Malan Garden. Goegap is 1500ha and supports close to 600 indigenous flower species. We spend the whole day in the flower park and have lunch in the kiosk at own cost.

DAY 3. SPRINGBOK – CLANWILLIAM (380 km)

We depart to Kammieskroon on the N7 and visit Skilpads Nature Reserve. This park is 10300 ha and is the showcase of flowers in the season.
From there we depart to Clanwilliam on the flower road.

DAY 4. CLANWILLIAM
After breakfast we depart to the Biedou Valley and Wuppertal in the Ceder Berge for the peak of the flowers during August/September.

DAY 5. CLANWILLIAM – CAPE TOWN (280 km)
Depart to Lambertsbaai, Elandsbaai, along the West coast road to Saldanha Bay and visit the West Coast National Park and also the West Coast Fossil Park at Langebaan.

The Highlight for the visitor is the West Coast Fossil Park, it is LIVE exhibited of an ongoing excavation of the early Pliocene fossil (FOSSILS FROM 5 MILLION YEARS AGO AND ARE THE GREATEST DIVERSITY IN THE WORLD).

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Depart to Cape Town. Drop off at the Guest House/Hotel or Airport.
Accommodation at own cost.

Accommodation can vary from the itinerary depending on the availability of Lodge/Chalet or camping

Please keep luggage to a minimum
– 1 soft bag (maximum 15 kg)
+ Small day bag (up to 5kg).

  • Hiking/boat fees and night drive fees.
  • Sleeping bag, pillow, sunblock, hat, closed shoes, torch, insect repellent and personal toiletries.
