SOUTH AFRICA/BOTSWANA ZIMBABWE ZAMBIA/TANZANIA
MIGRATION OF THE BLUE WILDEBEEST IN THE SERENGETI

THE FRUIT BATS IN THE KASANKA NATIONAL PARK
NOVEMBER/DECEMBER OR SELF DRIVE TOUR 5 VEHICLES
Day 1. Johannesburg – Marakele National Park (SOUTH-AFRICA)
We depart from the Lodge/Guest House/ Airport to Marakele National Park in the Waterberg Mountains home of the worlds largest colony of Cape vultures. Marakele is the home to most large mammals synonymous with the African bush, including elephant, black and white rhino, buffalo leopard and cheetah. There are also predators such as lion, brown hyena and leopard.
When we enter the park we do a short game drive in the park.

Day 2. KHAMA RHINO SANCTUARY RESERVE (BOTSWANA)
Depart to Botswana Border at Groblers Bridge. Enter Botswana. Continue via Palapya and Serowe to Khama Rhino Sanctuary. During the 1980 due to indiscriminate poaching, rhinos were made almost extinct in Botswana. We find black and white rhino, giraffe, eland, red hartebeest, ostrich brown hyena and antelope.
This park is 4300 hectares of the Kalahari sandveld.
We do afternoon game drives.

Day 3 – 4. MAGADIGADI PANS NATIONAL PARK
We depart to the Magadigadi Pans National Park via Orapa (Diamond Mine) and Rakop to the park. If the Boteti River have water we have to cross the river by ferry.
The park is 4900 square kilometer and the Boteti River form part of the National Park
full of wildlife elephants, zebras, kudus, hippos, crocs, lions and birdlife.

Day 5 – 7. KWAI COMMUNITY CAMP
After Breakfast we drive to Maun fill up the stock and drive to Kwai Camp.
Here we can expect the unexpected lions, leopard, elephants, impalas, baboons, hippos, and birdlife.

Day 8 – 9. KASANE
After breakfast we depart to Kasane via the Chobe National Park.
Here we visit the community crafts and do a boat cruise on the Chobe River with his rich wild and birdlife.

Day 10. MOSI OA TUNYA NATIONAL PARK (ZIMBABWE/ZAMBIA)
After breakfast we depart to Zimbabwe border enter Zimbabwe visit the Victoria Falls enter the border to Zambia. We do a short game drive in Park.
The afternoon we visit the craft shops in Livingston.

Day 11. LUSAKA
Visit the craft shops and relax.
Accommodation: Ibis Gardens Lodge

Day 12 -13. KASANKA NATIONAL PARK
This park is 4636 Square km and very rich in the big 5.
After breakfast we depart via Kabwe/Kapiri Mposhi to Kasanka National Park.
What makes this park so special, the Congo Elephants, unspoilt wilderness rich diversity of animals, birds and plant life, sitatunga wattle crane Ross Laurie Blue monkey and fruit bats during the season.

Day 14 – 16. BANGWEALU WETLANDS / LAVUSHI MANDA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast we do game drives through the park looking out for the unexpected animals and bird species.
Bangwealu means where water meets the sky, and is a community driver park. We find the black lechwe and shoebill stork there,there are 433 different bird species.
The park with the wetlands are 190,000 square km.

Day 17. NAKONDE (TANZANIA)
After breakfast we depart to the border of Zambia/Tanzania overnight before the border, the next morning through the border to Ruaha National Park.

Day 18-20: RUAHU NATIONAL PARK
This park is the largest park in Tanzania and East Africa and is part of a more extensive ecosystem. There are more than 571 bird species and some of them are from outside Africa. This Park have a high concentration of elephants than any National park in Africa. You can find spotted lions, leopard, wild dogs, roan antelopes and hippos.

Day 21 – 22. TARENGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Tarengire is a very different park but more exciting when the Serengeti is off the Tarengire is on with large numbers of game sustained by the river throughout the dry season. There is also an impressive diversity of birds.
Animals can be seen such as elephants, rhino, giraffe, zebra and lions.

Day 23 – 27. SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK/NGOROGOR0 CRATER
The Serengeti National Park is one of the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth, the great migration of wildebeest and zebra.
This park is 5700 square km and divided in 3 sections. The popular southern/central part Seronera valley (Maasai called Serengeti) the land of endless plains. The western part is forest and bush and the northern part Lobo area meets up with Kenya and least visited section.
The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest in the world.

Day 28-29. NGOROGORO CRATER/ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast we drive from the camp to Arusha National park. This park which Meru overlooks is overlooked in a different sense by many tourists, who rush by to more spectacular places. Arusha National Park covers 552 sq. km is among the most beautiful in Africa. With Meru in its western corridor, and Kilimanjaro to the east, it encompasses placid alkaline lakes, montane forests and open glades. We can expect a lot of different wildlife in the park.

DAY 30. ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK/DAR-ES-SALAAM
After breakfast we depart to Dar-es-Salaam. We pass the Kilimanjaro Mountain and a lot of villages. We will see also big sisal plantations.

DAY 31. DAR-ES-SALAAM/ IRINGA
After breakfast we depart to Iringa and stay over for the night.

DAY 32 – 34: IRINGA/ MALAWI LAKE (MALAWI)
After breakfast we depart to Malawi Lake, and get the experience of the lake.
We drive south along the lake and stay over at some Lodges/Campsites and do boat trips and diving. We visit some historical places on the road.

DAY 35 – 37: MALAWI/SOUTH LUANGWA NATIONAL PARK (ZAMBIA)
After breakfast we depart to Mchinji border to Zambia via Lilongwe.
This park is in the east of Zambia and in the Luangwa River valley. It is known for its abounded wildlife. The park is 9050 sq. km. The woodlands and savannah is the home for more than 400 bird species, herds of elephants and the rare Thornicroft Giraffes.
The park is one of the majestic in Africa. Impalas, pukus, waterbucks, buffaloes the Cookson’s wildebeest wander in the open plains. The focus point of the park is around the Mfuwe entrance gate.

DAY 38. SOUTH LUANGWA NATIONAL PARK/BRIDGE CAMP
After breakfast we depart to the Bridge Camp on the walls of the Luangwa River.

DAY 39. BIDGE CAMP/KAFUE
After breakfast we depart via Lusaka to Kafue Dreams Lodge on the walls of the Kafue River.

DAY 40: KAFUE/VICTORIA FALLS SENYATI CAMP
(ZIMBABWE/BOTSWANA)
After breakfast we depart to Livingstone drive all along the Zambezi River and cross the border to Kazangulu in Botswana.

DAY 41. SENYATI CAMP/FRANCISTOWN
After breakfast we depart to Francistown.

After breakfast we depart to Johannesburg. Drop off at Lodge. Accommodation at own cost.
