This tour starts at Kasane in the Northern part of Botswana, at the border between Botswana and Zambia, and went through (3) National parks;
Liuwa Plain National Park, Kafue National Park, Victoria Falls National Park
DAY 1. KASANE
In the morning, we do shopping in Kasane, re-fuel, and get some snacks for the trip.
In the afternoon, we hand out the groceries and pack vehicles for readiness for the expedition.
Accommodation: Senyati camp; Camp or chalet.

DAY 2. KASANE – KABULA RIVER LODGE
After breakfast we depart to Kazungula Border post, cross the Zambezi River on a ferry into Zambia. From here we drive on the M10 tarred road in a west direction all along the Zambezi river through Seseke, from here we drive on a fairly good tarred road, on the way we get the Kachekabwe, Manyekanga, Kasanga Ngambwe rapids and Ngonye falls.

DAY 3. KABULA RIVER LODGE – MONGO
After breakfast, we drive on the M10 tarred road to Sitoti where we cross the Zambezi River through the Barotse flood plans to Mongu. Here we fill up fuel, fresh food, water, and check the vehicle.
Accommodation: Dolphin Lodge.
Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
DAY 4, 5, 6. MONGO – LUIWA PLAINS NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, we drive through the 50 km Barotse floodplain cross the Zambezi River, which is a tar road to Kalabo. Here in Kalabo is no fuel. In Kalabo we get the permits for the Liuwa plain National park. We cross the Luanginga River on a ferry to the Southern part of the park. Drive through the park on two track sandy and sometimes muddy roads to the camp. This camp is located in the middle of the park. The next day we can split the convoy in smaller groups to explore the Liuwa plains. We are allowed to drive around in the park but only on the two track roads.
The park map that we get at the parks gate and the GPS or a guide that will bring us back to the bushcamp, every day.

DAY 7. LUIWA NATIONAL PARK – MONGO
After breakfast we drive to Kalabo cross the Zambezi through the Barotsi flood pans, where we past the home of the Lozi King when he move ceremonial on macro’s from his winter place to this summer place from there back to Mongu. Here we fill up with fuel and food.

DAY 8. MONGO – KAFUE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast we depart on the M9 road, we fill up with petrol at Kaoma from there we drive to Kafue National Park and enter the park at Tateyoyo gate from there to Mukambi Safari lodge, boat trips can be taken on the Kafue river.

DAY 9, 10. KAFUE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, we depart to Busanga plains the jewel of this park. This is a wide flood plain which is inundated for much of the year, generating expanses of grazing and lush water meadows for thousands of red lechwe and cape buffalo, and a beautiful birdlife.
Accommodation: Busanga Bushcamp.

DAY 11. KAFUE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast we depart to North Gate and on the D181 road to Mc Brides camp, cross the Kafue River on a ferry and back into the Kafue National park in the eastern side of the park.

DAY 12.KAFUE NATIONAL PARK – ITECHI-TEZHI DAM
After breakfast we depart to Munbwa fill up with fuel. Drive on the eastern side of the Kafue National Park south to the Itechi Tezhi Dam in the Kafue River.

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
DAY 13. ITECHI TEZHI – VICTORIA FALLS
After breakfast we depart to Livingstone via Choma.
We cross the border at Victoria Falls.
Accommodation: The Victoria Falls Lodge (chalets & tents own costs)

DAY 14. VICTORIA FALLS – ELEPHANT SANDS
After breakfast we visit the Victoria Falls and depart to Elephant Sands in Botswana.
Elephant Sands is the place where the elephants visit you at your chalet.

DAY 15. ELEPHANT SANDS – KHAMA RHINO SANCTUARY
After breakfast we depart via Nata and Frances Town to Khama Rhino Sanctuary.
This reserve is 4300 hectares and is in the Kalahari sandveld. During the 1980s due to indiscriminate poaching, rhinos were made almost extinct in Botswana. In 1992 the community trust wildlife was established to create a park to safeguard the few remaining rhinos and to re-establish both black and white rhino’s populations in the area. The project is successful and under the protection of the Botswana Defense Force and a dedicated team of conservationists.

DAY 16. KHAMA RHINO SANCTUARY – MARAKELE NATIONAL PARK
Early departure to the South African Border post Groblers Bridge. Proceed to Marakele National Park in the Waterberg Mountains, home of the worlds largest colony of cape vultures. Big game species flourish in the transitional zone between South Africa’s dry and moist region. Marakele is home to most of the large mammals synonymous with the African Bush, including elephant, black rhino, buffalo, leopard and cheetah. Large predators such as lion, brown hyena and wild dog occur in the park.

DAY 17. MARAKELE NATIONAL PARK – JOHANNESBURG
After breakfast we depart to Johannesburg. Drop off at Lodge/Guest House or airport.
Accommodation at own cost.
Accommodation can vary from the itinerary depending on the availability of Lodge/Chalet or camping.
Please keep luggage to a minimum – 1 soft bag maximum 15kg
