NAMIBIA SOSSUSVLEI/ SKELETON COAST/ ETOSHA
13 DAYS / 12 NIGHTS

DAY 1. WINDHOEK – SOSSUSVLEI (332KM Gravel road)

We pick you up at the place that you give me in Windhoek, after breakfast.
We depart from there to Sossusvlei through Kufferberg Pass and Gamsberg Pass to Sossusvlei.
Accommodation: Sossus Desert Lodge Rooms
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch Dinner

DAY 2: SOSSUSVLEI (150 km) Tar/4x 4 Sand roads)

Enter the Namib Naukluft Park and continue to Sossusvlei with its monumental dunes, up to 325m to 380m when measured from the base, is one of the top destinations in Namibia. The star-shaped dunes are a sought after topic for artists and photographers from by strong multi-directional winds, they are at their highest and most spectacular where the west-flowing Tsauchab River empties itself into the vlei. The deadvlei is also to see. Hiking is optional.

Flights over Sossusvlei and the Namib Desert are optional

DAY 3. SOSSUSVLEI – SWAKOPMUND (328 km Gravel road bad/Tar)

After breakfast we depart north to the Keiseb canyon, drive to Walvisbay.
Visit the lagoon with all the birds, drive to Swakopmund through the Dorob National park.
Accommodation: Lodge/ Guest House
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

DAY 4. SWAKOPMUND

After breakfast we visit the town with his German Colonial buildings and typical German cakes and confectionery can be enjoyed in town.
Visit the Living Desert 4-5 hours (Optional)
Accommodation: Lodge/Chalet
Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

DAY 5. SWAKOPMUND – PALMWAG (380km Gravel/Rocky road bad)

Depart from Hentiesbay to Palmwag through the southern part of the skeleton coast up to Torrabay from there to Springbok Water Gate to Palmwag. Visit the ship wrecks and the Aldus plant Welwitchia Mirabilis.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, dinner

DAY 6. PALMWAG

We do  game drives through the area to look out for the Desert elephants /Lions and other animals.
Accommodation: Palmwag Lodge Chalets
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 7. PALMWAG TO EPUPA FALLS (352km Rocky road bad)

Depart from Palmwag up to the Kunene River through the Jan Joubert Pass to Opuwo, on the way we can expect the unexpected (Elephant, Gemsbok, Springbok and Lions).
From Opuwo we drive via Okongwati through the Bains Mountains to Epupa Falls. This falls is in the Kunene River that is the border between Namibia and Angola.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

DAY 8. EPUPA FALLS TO KUNENE RIVER LODGE (222KM Gravel road)

After breakfast we depart to Okongwati from there all along the Kunene River to the Lodge.
Accommodation: Kunene River Lodge Chalet
Boat trip on the river optional

DAY 9. KUNENE RIVER LODGE TO ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK (260km Gravel/Tar/Gravel road)
Depart from Kunene River Lodge to the entrance Gate of Etosha National Park to the Dolomite camp. We visit the Ruacana Falls on the way to Etosha.
Accommodation: Dolomite Rest Camp Chalets
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 10. ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, we do a game drive have lunch at one of the picnic spots and back to camp for a rest.
Accommodation: Okaukujo Rest Camp Chalets
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 11. ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast we do game drives look out for the unexpected wild animals.
Accommodation: Okaukujo Rest Camp Chalets
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Depart to Upington. Drop off at the Guest House or Airport
Accommodation at own cost

Accommodation can vary from the itinerary depending on the availability of Lodge/Chalet or camping

Please keep luggage to a minimum – 1 soft bag maximum 15kg
