South African Tours - Tour 1

Day 1 – UPINGTON TO WITSAND (280 km)
We depart from Upington at 8:30 and drive on the Olifantshoek road (N10) to the Langeberg Mountains where you can find the white sand (Brulsand) or Roaring sands of the Kalahari.

These White Dunes are between 20 to 60 meters high surrounded by copper red Kalahari sand.

This Nature Reserve is approximately 3500ha in size and a scenic reserve where one can see Gemsbok, Springbok and 170 bird species.
This is the home of the famous “Brulsand” or Roaring Sands of the Kalahari. While you climb up the dune you hear the roaring of the dunes under the right conditions and you can enjoy dune boarding.

Accommodation: Chalet or Camping
Meals: Lunch and Dinner

Day 2 – WITSAND TO UPINGTON (280 km)
After breakfast, we depart from Witsand via Groblershoop back to Upington along the Orange River Wine route.

Before we leave in the morning you can do a 3 km trail and visit the birds hide, and animals that come to the waterhole.

Depart to Upington. Drop off at Airport or Guest House/Lodge. Accommodation at own cost.

Please keep luggage to a minimum:
– 1 soft bag (maximum 15 kg)
+ small day bag (up to 5 kg).
